ANOTHER PROGRAM OF THE ENSEMBLE DIABELLI

It has always been a desire of the Ensemble Diabelli to present an attractive program with singing. Especially since the time of early Romanticism with Rossini, Schubert and Berlioz - to name just a few important composers - has been not only the time of chamber music, but also of the opera and the art of »Lied« par excellence. Impressed by her CD »SOL NASCENTE« we are pleased to have with the coloratura soprano Charlotte Schäfer found the »ideal cast« for a concert program in 2017 focusing on Paris in the first half of the 19th century.

NEW PUBLICATION AT FRANKFURT MUSIC FAIR 2014

The well established music publishing house Friedrich Hofmeister Musikverlag, Leipzig, released in March 2014 the transcription of the Suite in D major by Sylvius Leopold Weiss. Thomas Karstens has made this transcription specifically for the recording on the CD "The guitar is different".
 
     
NEW CD "THE GUITAR IS DIFFERENT" RELEASED ON May 03, 2013

The CD »The guitar is different« has been recorded at Tube Temple Studios, Solingen, Germany in 2012 with the legendary Neumann U47 as main microphone backed by two M149 and two KM184 Neumann mics. Thomas Karstens plays on his three guitars made by world famous luthier Paulino Bernabé, Madrid. This production is supported by the Spanish Guitar Foundation.
